Happy Holidays Friends!

Upon his diagnosis with a malignant brain tumor, Mykyta, 40 years old, from Chicago, came to the NIH Clinical Center seeking treatment.

Throughout the course of Mykyta’s battle, his wife, Yuliya, has been by his side. Friends of Patients at the NIH, with your support, placed the Ukrainian couple in a nearby apartment that makes trips to the Clinical Center short and feasible. It’s also given them a home base where they can decompress between appointments and hospitalizations.

This housing gift has provided Mykyta and Yuliya a chance to lead a life as close to normal as possible which isn’t easy when he’s not hospitalized, while also keeping them close to Mykyta’s doctors. Yuliya cries tears of appreciation and joy when she speaks of donors she will never meet.

You can help provide housing and other accommodations for patients and their families while they seek diagnoses and cutting-edge treatment in experimental trials at the NIH. Please help us help more families this holiday season and in the coming new year. Thank you!Touching Lives and Making a Difference!
