Please consider honoring your mother with a special gift to help patients and their families this Mother’s Day.
Konjit has lung cancer. She’s enrolled in a treatment trial at the NIH in hopes of prolonging her life. Her greatest pride is her 21-old-daughter, a student at Stanford, and her 19-year-old son, also in college. She worries constantly about who will fill the holes in their lives and special moments if she is not around.
A single mother, Konjit steadily held administrative jobs before her cancer diagnosis, but her illness forced her to stop working and her bills have mounted. The financial stress is overwhelming, she says. Her son sits by her side every afternoon after classes and her daughter works two jobs to help make ends meet. Friends stepped up to help with rent and utility bills. Konjit is immensely grateful.
Friends helps many mothers – both patients and caregivers – with emergency financial support. Won’t you help make this possible?
